Seeking parents of my great grandfather Samuel Poole THOMAS born 26 Sept 1845 in Lynden, or London, Ontario, Canada and his younger brother Albert. They were orphaned by 1861, put on farms to work, and in 1861 Samuel (age 16) was living with the John MCROBERTS family in London Township, Ontario, Canada. Their mother was born in Germany and oral history says their father, Mr. THOMAS (a teacher), came to Canada from Cardiff, Wales (before Sept 1845). He taught school in East Flamborough, Ontario, Canada. Samuel P. THOMAS marr. Ann EASTERBROOK in 1865. Their children: William James b 1866, George Orville b 1870, Samuel Albert b 1873, Clarence Benjamin b 1875, John Edwin b abt 1879, Ida Laura b 1880, Henry A. b. 1883, Elias b. 1886, Leslie b abt 1888 and Mary Jane (died young). Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
