Hi, Looking for any information regarding the surname COLBERT or COLEBERT. MY Colbert line (so far) originates from Ireland ~ area unknown, possibly Waterford or surrounding areas, and then they moved to Swansea S.Wales UK in the 1860's. The family Patrick John , wife Mary Fitzgerald/Flynn and sons Michael and James Flynn and John and Edward Colbert were all in Swansea until after the 1871 Census of Swansea S.Wales, The whole family are NOT on the 1881 UK Census at all. One son "John" my G-Grandad c. 1868 - d.1943 came back to Swansea in the mid 1880's, and married a Lillian E Beynon on Dec 25th 1899. This line remains in Swansea to date, however would love to know where Patrick John and Mary ended up, and where their son Edward and his line remain.
Any ideas? been stuck with this brick wall for a very long time!
