I arrived at Liverpool on 30 January 1944 on the troopship SS George Washington, and was shipped as a Private to a King's Land new US Army Camp near Chester, England, where I attended my first USA dance and met a local girl "Elizabeth Banks some time later. I can only remember the names Tidworth Barracks, and Salisbury Plains as Training cadre locations as US Army assignments, but am trying to find possible camp names and locations where I was sent prior to becoming deck cargo on 5 June 1944 in Plymouth Harbor, on my way as an Infantry replacement, 3rd wave 29th US Infantry Division on Omaha Red Beach. If anyone knows names and locations of these US Army camps it may jog my failing memory.
