Looking for any infomation on:
Robert Allan born in Scotland married to Margaret Brown who was also born in Scotland. Child: James Allan born 10 Oct 1807 in Aberdeenshire married Catherine Gregg/Greig (parents were James Gregg/Greig and Margaret Stuart)
James Allan migrated to Canada from Scotland in 1834. He settled near Peterborough, Canada and engaged in the gristmilling business. Mr and Mrs Allan moved from Canada to the vacinity of buffalo NY, where they resided about 40 years. In the early 1800's they came to Sylvan Twp and resided with their eldest son, Charles Stuart a pioneer of sylvan Twp. James Allan was a miller by trade.
