I am a member of Hessle Operatic Dramatic Society NODA and I was appearing at a charity concert for a dear friend of your dads, ( Tony Ainsley) your Dad sang that evening aswell.
Well what I want to find out is did your dad own a News Agent shop on the longhill Asate in Hull in the 1960s if so your dad maybe my grandads distant cousin will you find out for me? sorry i have had to email you at work i have been emailing you all week but you have been out of the office they told me after 4 times trying to email you as the computer has been playing me up.
My grandfathers name is Arther Spofforth that spelling is right at last i have found out the right spelling it will be great if you can find out if he is i will relly appreciate if you could ask your dad for me.
