I am seeking information regarding Fiona Mary Somers born 11/5/60 in Leicester - her birth mother as named on her birth certificate (Christine Irene Somers maiden name Lowe) told Fiona before she died that she was not Fiona's mother. Fiona lived with 'her' mother from age 11 to 15. Fiona was brought up in the care of the local authority and spent many years trying to unravel and understand her past. She has little memory prior to age eight and has no one to turn to for information. Files from the local authorities of Nottingham and Leicester pertaining to Fiona upto age 8 have not been found despite a search ordered by the Ombudsman. Fiona has a few vivid memories of another child her own age when they where 3 or 4 and also a woman she called 'mummy' - - who does not appear to be the same woman as on Fiona's Birth certificate - if you have any information at all please send an email to VERFI34@aol.com Fiona's birth father was James Patrick Somers though she only lived with him age 8 to 9 with her stepmother Anne who had a baby called Nicola.
