In particular we are looking for information on a Micheal Tiney who left Ireland at the age of 15 to go to NZ. Family stories say that he "jumped ship" in NZ. We think he was born in Ballybegan, Dublin in 1863 to James Tiney(his marriage cert spells it Tinay) and Julia Tiney/ay Hensey. James is listed as a carpenter. we have information of his two wives and his many children born in NZ so if you are researching someone of the same name we may be able to help each other.
