Would love to hear from any descendents of REIDY (READY or
REEDY) and McMAHON from Ennis and Ballyea in Co Clare.
Patrick Reedy married Margaret McMahon in Ballyea/Ennis
according to Patrick's and Margaret's death certificates)
b/w 1848 andd 1850.
Patrick's parents were Thomas Reedy & Bridget Silver and he
had been born about 1823.
Margaret's parents were Michael McMahon, a farmer and Sarah
O'Brien and she was born about 1823 too.
Patrick and Margaret (known as Bridget) and their son Thomas
arrived in Queensland at Moreton Bay per 'Argyle' in 1852.
They settled in Ipswich on the land producing eight more
children and many descendents.
Would love to know more about their lives in Ireland
