In 1988 researched (as a novice) in Killyleagh. Would like to reconnect with Zina McAllister (or her sister, Brenda), Elsie Berner, and/or Eileen Kirk. If anyone from Killyleagh could send me their address I would like to correspond about family history and thank them for the past hospitality. Also, in searching First Presbyt. church records, I found my g-grandfather James McCashon Hamilton (b. 1851) & sister Abigail (b. 1853). I extracted a marriage record for a James Ritchie & Sarah Hamilton (m.22 July 1867 or 1869) at Killyleagh. Residence at the time of marriage was, and this is what I need help with, Maymose (or Maymore or Maymone). Can anyone help me with the correct spelling and location of this residence? I believe my James Hamilton was a witness at the wedding. The father of Sarah was John Hamilton. I would like to learn more about any connections to James Hamilton. His mother was Sarah Hamilton (Father George m. Killyleagh 1839). I believe that besides his mother, and James' 2nd wife (also Sarah), their may have been a sister Sarah and quite possibly a daughter Sarah. It is too complicated to explain all this, but it is a very tangled puzzle. Love help in solving this.
Any knowledge of 4 Sarah Hamiltons; James or John Hamilton and Maymose(sp. & location) greatly appreciated.
