JOHNSTON AND MARTIN GENEALOGY. I am trying to locate any distant cousins or anyone with knowledge of my ggrandparents. Matthew Johnston and Mary Ann Martin. Mary Ann Martin was born Nov. 24, 1837 in Ballynahinch. She was raised by her uncle as her parents passed away. She came to America at the age of 14. Matthew Johnston came to America in the mid 19th century with his siblings, Henry, Esther Jane, Eliza, and Mrs. Elliott. The only information as to where they were from states.....near Belfast. Any help would be appreciated.
