I am searching for my 3rdgreatgrandfather, Michael McGinnis
(spelled several ways)ex-British Soldier from Queens County, died ca. 1835 and supposedly buried in Carrickfergus, County Antrim. His son, George born St. Helena, South Atlantic supposedly sailed after Michael's death for America with his wife, Jane McCracken, daughter of Hugh and Ann McCracken. They settled eventually in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Any information on the McGinnis or McCracken families will be very much appreciated.
