We are searching for the family of Rose Maria Lahiff who came out to New Zealand in 1878. She was on her way to Australia but met up with her future husband and came on to New Zealand. We know that she was born on 5.11.1859 and that her father was in the army. She was born in a light house off of the coast of Ceylon. She remembers playing in some Irish barracks.
