We are trying to trace any family relatives with the surname 'Rochford' who are living in the New York area of the United States. We are planning to visit New York for the St. Patrick's day parade with our elderly Irish parents.
My father Patrick is eighty years old and informs us that two of his cousins, Michael and Daniel emigrated to the United States from county Sligo, Ireland. The father of Michael and Daniel was called John and their mother's maiden name was O'Hara. They came from a small village named Onagh near Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo.
Michael emigrated in 1926 and served in the army as a staff sargent before working as a civil servant in the Post Office.Daniel emigrated in spring 1929 and worked as a fireman.
There first known address in New York was 471 Amsterdam Ave.,
We would be very grateful to hear from anyone who is related to our family or who has the surname 'Rochford' and is of Irish descent.
