Would like to communicate with anyone with genealogical interest or information on the name Lissenden.
My knowledge thus far indicates that the heaviest
concentration of the name is in the County of Kent, UK, especially the town of Sheerness. I believe my grandfather's family
came to the US in the early 1800s, but perhaps earlier. I
also believe that the name is only found in the UK, especially
Kent, in Australia and eastern USA, especially along the eastern
seacoast.
