HIGGINS - JOHN PATRICK. Born County Lietrim?? 1834. Transported to Australia in 1849 for 7 years penal servitude for 'turf stealing'. arrived Western Australia 1853. Married Mary Ann Jane Walsh, born County Lietrim?? in 1837, arrived in Perth in 1859. Am trying to find records of trial and transport records for John Patrick and then hopefully will be able to find rest of family. Unsure that birth place is County Lietrim or if that was where he was caught and tried. Thank you. Lesley Lane.
