Margaret GILBOURNE of BALLINAROUGA, Co.Limerick, EIRE, born 16-07-1916, commenced her nurse training during the late 1930s at Horton Mental Hospital, EPSOM, Surrey.
She was eventually dismissed from that hospital service because she was pregnant with me.
Margaret went to an unmarried mothers' home at 51, Marlborough Place, LONDON, NW8 and I was eventually born on 31-07-1939 in St. Mary's Hospital, PADDINGTON.
I was adopted by Leonard Alfred HUGHES and Julia Rose HUGHES nee BYRNE of 63, Amersham Road, HIGH WYCOMBE, Bucks. on 01-10-1941.
During 1959/1960 I traced my natural mother, who is still alive, and met her husband and their children. I have kept in touch to this day.
I tried to do likewise with my natural father, during the 1960s and 1970s but I do not know his correct name. My mother informed me that it was CALLAGHAN. I was also told that I was named after him i.e. Joseph Patrick. He is supposed to be a doctor.
I would appreciate any assistance from anyone who has any information about him, please.
