I was born in Victoria Park Road, Hackney, East London, on 3 JULY 1960 and am looking for my birth Parents - MARY AGNES (nee) KINGSLEY, who liked to be known as "AGNES", who came over from Northern Ireland and worked in Cromwell Road, Earls Court, West London, as a waitress whilst waiting for my birth. I was adopted through the Holman Richards Adoption Society, in West London, and due to the long time elapsed and the Society's closure, have very limited information, but know Mary Agnes's father died in 1956 and worked in Armagh. From the very brief information I have, I know my birth father is named THOMAS STITT, who was a taxi driver in Belfast in late 1950s/early 1960s, although I'm not sure if he was ever aware of my existence. From the 2 letters MARY AGNES wrote at the time of my adoption (at 6 weeks) I would think she was in her 20s, which would make her about 60 now. As I am now coming up to 40 and very aware of how the years flash by, I wanted to give my birth parents the chance to get in touch. I do not want to intrude in your lives, and will respect your wishes, but am obviously very curious and would love to know whether I have half brothers, sisters and other family. I look forward to receiving any news.
