I was born on the Shore Road, Whitehouse, Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim and went to Whitehouse Primary until 1968. I then went to in Fairyknowe Gardens on the Whitewell Road and attended the Throne primary school until 1970, which is when I started Graymount Girls Secondary school on Grays Lane. By this time I was living in Ballyduff, Carnmoney. I left Graymount in 1975 and started work at Styletype Printers in Glengormly, and was there until my mum and I left to come over to England to live.
Some names I can remember are Elaine Wright, Evelyn McBride, Valerie Wood, Heather McMillan, Margaret Glendinning, Jacquline Miller and Lynne Miller, who emigrated to New Zealand around 1973/74.
