I am interested in making contact with my Ulster relations in Belfast and elsewhere. My grandfather was James Gamble (b. 18 Fountain Place Londonderry 27 Nov 1890- d. Chatham, Kent 3 July 1965). His father was Samuel Gamble, upholsterer, and mother, Annie Gamble, nee McWhinney. James had fifteen brothers and sisters, including twins who died in infancy, Samuel (eldest), Nellie (married Mr. Stitt, Belfast 1911), John (b.ca.1895-d. Belfast 1960) who worked for Harland and Wolff, Belfast (married Leah, and their children: Leah, Anne and Raymond), Annie, Thomas (youngest). Thomas served in the Royal Navy, married and had a son, also Thomas who emigrated to Canada in 1965. John's daughter Anne married a Mr. Gibson. Anne would be my father, Terence Gamble's cousin. There was also another relation of James Gamble - Sadie, who married Jim Davidson. The whole family moved to Belfast from Londonderry early in the 20th century. My family lost touch in about 1965.
