Iam searching for any information on the family of Joesph Preston Yaden or Yadon borned Dec. 17 1756 in County Downs, Ireland the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Proctor) Yaden. There were other children of this couple but only Joseph came to the U.S.A. He served in the British Army as a drummer at the age of 12. He was with General Burgoyne's men in 1777. In 1779 in enlisted in the Continental Army at Martinsburg, Virginia. He was discharged in december of 1781.Because he couldn't write his name was spelled Yaden,Yadon,Yeaden and Yader.
