JAMES GRAY: James was my grandfather, born arnd 1891 in Dublin. Family (English/Irish, Anglican Church) settled in Wexford (Myshall? Leinster? and later resided in Limerick before he came to U. S./NYC) -- possibly 1913, at age 25. Ellis Island records indicate he travelled w/ Marie Gilshinan (Gilshenan) of Limerick and have him met by John O'Connell, a friend in NY, East 60th St. James married May O'Connor (Catholic) of Limerick in 1914, had 2 sons, Charles & James (my dad). James' mother's maiden name may be Steffel. He was trained as engineer/arch., but sold textiles in IRE. Only other clues are his mentioning a Maurice, Herbert, Archie & Reginald when I was quite small, and family (both sides) has strong musical abilities. We have gotten nowhere for years on this & need to acquire some medical info.
