I am looking for a marriage record for John Griffiths b. abt
1799 and Elizabeth Jones born abt 1804. They may have lived
for a time in Glamourganshire. They had sons born in either
Wales or England. They immigrated to US abt 1830-35.
The 1st known child of birth is 25 Sep 1823: Robert Griffiths
2 Mar. 1825: David J. Griffiths; 25 Jul. 1827: Edward Griffiths.
Both of their names are very common, and so I would think
that I need to locate these children with them at some
point and place in Wales or England. Supposedly John Griffiths
was originally from some place in N.Wales.
I have found a marriage entry at St. Clements, Worcester,
Worcestershire, England, for a John Griffiths and Elizabeth
Jones on 9 Feb 1819. I have no idea as yet if this is the
correct record as the marriage date seems early and Elizabeth
would have been only 14 or 15 yrs of age. John would have
been only 19 maybe 20.
I have also seen some promising information come from
Flintshire, but nothing that seems concrete enough.
If anyone has information on this couple and or their children
it would be VERY, VERY, GRATEFULLY RECEIVED.
