I am looking for information on the Baum family who moved to the Trefor/Nefyn area from Mountsorrel in Leicestershire about 1880. I am mainly seeking any information from about 1900 onwards to complete this branch of the family. What would be extremely helpful would be details of the females, who changed their name upon marriage. We have a family tree stretching back to the 16th. century. Also, does anyone know if there are any records of immigration to this country pre 1600, as the Baums are reputed to have come from Germany around this period, possibly connected with mining. Apparently there was a large influx of German miners into the country during the reign of Elizabeth I because the Germans were considered to be the leading experts in mining. Thanks, Keith Morris
