LEWIS/EVANS/ROBERTS/WILLIAMS: I have been searching for Hugh Lewis married Grace Evans and emigrated from Wales to the United States in 1860. Also Richard Roberts married Ann Williams and also left Wales and settled in the US. These four are my gggrandparents. They lived in Rutland County, Vermont in the 1860s until their deaths.
Grace Evans had a brother and a father both named Hugh. Hugh Lewis had siblings named Ann (married a Price), Benjamin and Thomas (who moved to Canada). I don't have siblings or parents for Richard and Ann.
Grace also had a cousin, Benjamin Williams, who was married to Margaret. They lived in Maine prior to 1860s, then settled in Vermont, and sponsored Grace and Hugh in the US. All three of these families were in Vermont in the 1870 census. I would like to locate their origins in Wales. I would appreciate any information on these couples.
