I am searching for my Welsh ancestors, and I have doubts that I will ever find them because the name is so common. My grandfather's name was Horace Newman Smith, but I believe it was changed from Smyth or Smythe. I'm guessing that either his mother's maiden name was Newman, or that his father's first name was Newman. My grandfather's father was a cabinet maker and that's all I know about him. Grandad's parents came to the States, from Wales, prior to 1848. Gramps also had a brother named George and I'd like to find his offspring too. If anyone can tell me how to pull up any records from Wales, I'd deeply appreciate it.
