We have traced both sides of my husband's family to Wales. His mother's family name is WIDDY, earliest known members being Charles WIDDY b. 1803 in Newtown, Montgomeryshire, married Winfred JONES. His father's side is THOMAS, known as MORRIS THOMAS in the early days. Thomas Morris Thomas was born in Denbigh in c.1840. Both these families came to Australia in the 1850s.
