McCARTHY OR MACCARTHY I would like to trace any relatives or information about my Great Grandmother BRIDGET who was born circa 1870 in Newport. Left home with her two sisters to escape their violent father and went to Ireland in the late 1880's or thereabouts. She married a man called O'BRIEN and they had 5 or more children. She died in County Cork in May 1944. Very grateful for any information Thanks Yvonne Jacobs(Aherne)
