I am looking for Gillis Gillies, b. 1792 04 1796 in
Scotland. He married Ann McDougall, b. 1802 in Scotland
Their first daughter was b. 1826 in the vacinity of
Kroydart. They had three more children in Scotland.
Mary, Elizabeth and James, b. in 1835. After James was born and sometime in 1838- the family emigrated to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Margaret was born there.
We believe they came from the Kroydart-Morar area. Does
anyone have a record of them????
