I am looking for information on Robert Robertson who married Jane Lawson in the early 1800s probably near Peterhead, possibly Longside.
Their son Alexander Robertson (born March 18, 1835) married Margaret Greig (born June 17, 1837) on December 8, 1860 in Longside. Alexander and Margaret's son, my grandfather James Robertson, was born December 29, 1868 in Cairntradlin Kinellar, county of Aberdeen and died January 19, 1942 in Lake Forest, Illinois. James married Agnes Duncan March 7, 1895 in Lake Forest. Agnes was born 1871 in Muir of Kinellar, Aberdeenshire and died in 1946 in Lake Forest. I can trace the Greigs back six generations on the internet, but only one generation on the Duncans and two for the Robertsons.
James Robertson emigrated to the United States arriving on November 1, 1893. Agnes Duncan arrived in the U.S. May 29, 1893.
