GEORGE CAMPBELL born abt 1828 in Garlieston Wigtown, married WILHELMINA MOUAT TAYLOR(2nd marriage to 'Mina')25 Nov 1872 in Stranraer Wigtown, Sct. They are paternal great grandparents to me. Capt. George sailed the ferry from Stranraer (Portpatrick?) to Larne (Belfast). George Campbell's father was a blacksmith, George Campbell's mother's name was Grace, and she was born in Garlieston too, abt 1801, according to the 1881 Br. census. Their son Louis (Alexander) is my grandfather. I've joined the Campbell Clan Society of North America as part of my effort to find ancestral information, and they were pleased to welcome "this new line". And I have George's death Cert and Mina's and George's marriage cert. on the way from Scots Register. Anyone connected to George and Mina, or George and his first wife Mary Logan?
