I am trying to trace my fathers family - Father ERIK (ERIC) DONALD FINLAYSON DOB 3/10/20 Died February 1972 (Aged 52)(Married Betty Harkness) Had two sisters (Ninette & Sheila) one brother Roderick - died in his teens (believed murdered in Victoria) - Grandfather DONALD FINLAYSON (Died 1953 Aged 68 years) (Married Vera Collins - Died 1952) Grandfather had sisters and brother in Scotland - John Finlayson (Was in the merchant navy when I was a small child (married Anne later in life) Sisters I know of were Bella & ........ - my mother visited them they lived on the Isle of Lewis - Plastow Stree, Stornaway.(this was 1971). Both were married to MacKenzie - Another sister Marian Finlayson I think lived in Inverness - never married. I believe that Great grandfather was Murdock Finlayson. I am trying to find further connections - I do know my father had twin cousins - also his father was born in a croft on the Isle of Lewis (have a photo) Also when John and Anne were married a photo on the church steps show many a relative. Does anyone relate to this information. Your assistance is much appreciated. I believe that we have relatives living in Scotland on the Isle of Lewis and around Inverness. Would love to make contact.
