I have been researching John Rea/Rae who married Anne Donaldson. They had 4 children all christened in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland:
Thomas Rae b.1739
Robert Rae b. Dec 21, 1740
Charles Rea b. 1746
Anne Rea b. 1749
Note the different spellings on the different christening records. I believe this Robert to be the Robert who came to America and married Rebecca Haines but as yet have no proof. I can find no records on the parents of John Rae however Anne Donaldsons Father was named Thomas hence their first born son, Thomas. I believe Anne was christened in Aberdour however I could not find a marriage record for her and John.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
