I am looking for information on William Hamilton born ca. 1817 in Scotland. I have that his mother's maiden name was possible Stuart. He emmigrated to the US and married a Jane Bucher ca. 1838. I would like to trace this line back past William but have not had any luck so far. I would appreciate any input. Thank you.
