DOUGLAS/WYLIE
John Douglas(B.1821)in Roxburghshire. He married Jane Wylie
(b.1825)at Southdean in 1849. His fathers' name was George or John. In 1852 five of the eleven chlidren emigrated to the USA. They landed in New Orleans and came up the Mississippi River to Illinois. Those making the trip were:
John& Jane Douglas, Janette(Douglas)Watson, Adam Douglas, George Douglas,and Maggie Douglas.
Who was the family they left behind? Are there any Douglas'
left?
