Looking for info on Mathieson/Mathison/Matheson of Yarrow Kirk Selkirkshire Scotland. A number of them came to Canada 1831. These were Alexander, John and wife Agnes (nee Cunningham), Andrew G. and wife Mary M. (nee Calder) as well as John Reid and wife Catherine (nee Mathison), Duncan Mills and wife Isabella (nee Mathison), James Scott Cowan and wife Ann(nee Mathison) and finally James Cunningham and his wife Rachel (nee Miller). Some of the names I have for Scotland are Alexander Mathison and wife Katie (nee Cameron) and their son Alexander Mathison and his wife Isabella (nee Grey or Gray). Alexander and Isabella are the parents of the Mathisons that came to Canada. I have a fair bit of the Canadian info that was compiled by the late Prof. James Mathison. What I would like is any info on the family that stayed in Scotland. Thank you.
