I am looking for information about James Murdoch and Barbara Rae who were married on Nov 10 1818 in Dalmellington, They farmed at East Chalmerston for many years. My grandfather was a grandson of theirs. I have been unable to find out anything about these people's origins and would dearly like to. Any information about other family in the area would be very welcome. Thank you.
