Seeking any information on the life of the late Arthur Lockhart, born circa 1900, died circa 1950. He was involved in the jewellery trade in Carlisle, Cumbria. I believe he was a person of some importance in the community. I would like to know what sort of person he was. What were his achievements? What if any, public offices did he hold? What were his interests/hobbies? Did he see any military service? Any snippets of information relating to what sort of man Arthur was would be greatly appreciated.
