My great great grandmother Mary Anderson, was born in Scotland in November, 1783. She married Peter Fisher in the Associate Sessions Church, Barony Parish, Glasgow, in 1805. They came to America circa 1814 or 15. The only Mary Anderson I can find, who was born in Nov of that year, was born at Falkirk. Her tombstone gives the month and year and records say she was from Glasgow. I am wondering if there is any way to determine if this is the same Mary Anderson.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. |

I am posting here as a longshot. My grandfather Donald Mantell Wallace was born in Arisaig, Scotland in 1861. He named 3 of his children with the middle name of Mantell. I do not know why he had that middle name, or where it came from. Does anyone know of a surname mix of Wallace and Mantell? Thanks, Bruce. |
