I am wondering what happened to the rest of my Great Great Grandfather's family in Wales. Three of the eldest children of Edward Edwards and Elizabeth Thomas of Drws-Y-Nant Uchaf, Merioethshire Wales came to the United States. The other 7 children remained in Wales. According to a family bible, the names of the children are John E. Edwards 1821-1902, Thomas Edwards 1829-1904, Jane Edwards 1841-1909, Ann Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards, Catherine Edwards, Ellen Edwards, Mary Edwards, Margaret Edwards, Edward Edwards, John, Thomas, and Jane came to Minnesota in the United States.

| My 2 x great grandfather Samuel Bees may have moved from Wales to Bristol Gloucestershire sometime between his birthdate circa 1806 and his marraige to Hannah Player [sic] on 10 February 1834 in St John's Parish, Bristol Gloucestershire....he and Hannah had seven children in Bristol and amongst other vocations established a Livery Stables business which he sold circa April 1854 to emigrate to Australia...I can find much of his life in Bristol but not where he was born nor the actual birthdate,....any assistance would be appreciated.. |

I am searching for ANY information on Frank Roach (journeyman painter and decorator) who married Prudence Howells in Llanelly on 18.12.1919. They had a daughter Sarah Ann, born 15.10.1920(my mother).Frank's birth year is around 1885. I have a record of a Frank Roach born about 1880 in Abergavenny - is this him?

| I am looking for information on Prudence Howells (married Frank Roach - 18.12.1919)She resided at the Swansea Castle Hotel - Swansea Road Llanelly. Her father was Thomas Howells , a "fire man in steel works". Any help on her mothers' name etc would be appreciated. Prudence is my grandmother. |

| My ancestor, Jehu Stokely, is said to have been born in about 1740 in Wales. He was arrested by the Crown for trespassing and sentenced to serve seven years aboard a British sailing vessel as punishment.He eventually served on the American side in the American Revolutionary War, but I am looking for any record of his birth, arrest, or service with the British. |

I'm researching Hugh B (Benjamin) Rees b abt 1816/1817 m. Elizabeth Evans (b abt 1814) between January and March 1838 in Machynlleth, S. Wales (Source: Civil Records, GRO index, freeBMD, Reese Hugh Machynlleth volume 27page 151 Evans Elizabeth Machynlleth 27 151)
they had a child in Wales Joran (or Joram or Jerome) born about 1838
They arrived in the United States between 1838 and 1850 (I've been unable to locate immigration records but do show them on the the US Census beginning in 1850 )
I would like to know the parents of Hugh --or where I can find the info) and when they emigrated to the states.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |
