I am looking for any information that might lead to my g-g-g-grandfather LYMAN KENYON b. 1814 family. We have hit a wall as to where he was born, who his parents were, and if he had any brothers/sisters. Family rumor has it that he was from Wales but what the US census says is that he was born in New York. It is not beyond belief that he could have either lied of his heritage...as being of foreign birth would have been was not something you would wear with pride back then...or simply for convience to say that he was born here if he moved here at a very young age.

Everybody farmed in those years in early America but Carpentry was also the family trade.

LYMAN KENYON b. around 1814
m. around 1846 Melissa Phelps (Phillips)
had eight children: Alonzo, Alphonso,Charles, Daniel, Willard, Lyman, Julia, and Fredrick.

ALONZO m. HELEN UTTER around 1876-77 years.
They had 5 children: Roy Louis, Arthur Ellis, Coila E., Fredrick L. and Claude.

ROY LOUIS m. EDNA GEAR m. 1901 +/- 5 years
They had 8 children: Archie, Harold, Helen, Billy, Charlie, Theodore, Robert, and James.

If any of this should ring familiar please e-mail me at: andreaspurlin@comcast.net

Thank you,
Andrea

I am looking for any information on George Cox born abt 1714 in Wales who had a son John Cox, born abt 1740 in Virginia. John Cox may have served in the Revolutionary Army and had 8 children from his 1762 marriage to Mary Polly. They were Thomas, Sarah, Mary Molly, Charles, William, Littleberry, James, and Thomas all born in Campbell Co. Va. I am most interested in the village in Wales where the George Cox family lived. Thanks

I'm looking for the forebears of my grtgrandfather, William (J.) Morgan, born in 1839 (probably in Wales), married to Margaret Phillips in Wales in 1862, probably near Bedwellty or Tredegar. He was a coal miner; immigrated to Meigs County, Ohio in 1872. Any information about parents or relatives would be appreciated.
