I would love to hearfrom anyone who knew my grandfather - John Davies - or greatgrandfather - John Ralph Davies, both of whom died in the Gresford Colliery disaster of 1934. They lived at Fernleigh, Rhosrobin Road, Wrexham, at the time of their deaths. I would also like to hear from anyone who knew the Griffiths family of Yorke Street, Wrexham, especially Elizabeth Griffiths, who married John Davies in April 1917 |

I'm looking for GUNNING and DAVIES family in or around Mold. My Grandmother was Catherine GUNNING. She was raised on a farm, Bromfield Cottage, Bromfield Yard, Mold, Wales. Her Father was LUTHER MARTIN GUNNING born 1865, Mold. His wife was, CATHERINE LOUSIA DAVIES, born 1864 (place unknown). I think her Father was JOHN DAVIES. This is all I have to go on for the DAVIES family. My Grandmother had 6 siblings, all born at Bromfield Cottage, Mold. My Gunnings are the descendents of THE GUNNINGS OF COLD ASTON, Bitton, Gloucestershire England, North Stoke England & Torneys Court, Gloucestershire, England, dating back to 1437. If anyone has anything to add or think they may have a connection, please contact me.
