| (2nd posting)I am trying to trace my great grandmothers family--her father was Owen Jones from Llangafni, Anglesey county Wales. He was a farmer. I believe his wife was Mary. They had a son owen (Thomas?). And 4 daughters-Elizabeth born Aug 12 1893-(married name Bridge-married in England in 1921). She then moved to USA in May 1923, settling in Chicago,Il. until July 1953 when she passed away.<>her sisters were Mary(may),Annie, and Jane (she died in march `1947). I believe from a letter I just found from her sister that is dated from 9-27-1953, family lived at 5 Glandur Terrace. I believe she had a niece Valantine, and also Hillary. Possibly a nephew named Mesyn(?) My mom can only shed only a small light on any of this, she has been sickly the past few years. Any information would be truly wonderful. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Seeking decendants of Thomas Williams, son of William Williams and Sarah or Dovey Williams. Thomas was born abt. 1830, in the country of Wales and later lived in the southern part of England,from which he migrated to the USA about 1850.It is probable that this family were gypsies or travelers. Anything will be appreciated.

Seeking descendents of Evan JONES b. 1827 in Llanddilo, Llanwrda, Carmarthenshire and Margaret GRIFFITHS b.1831 in Llandadock, Carmanthenshire. Children included: William JONES b.1851, John JONES b.1853, Morgan JONES b. 1855, Elizabeth JONES b.1857, Jane JONES b. 1859, Margaret JONES b.1861, and Winifred JONES b. 18 Dec 1862. All born in Llandadock.
Winifred immigrated to New York City in 1888 where she met and married Thomas William PAYNE of Ireland. Their first son, Evan was born 8 Aug 1891 in New York City. The couple then moved on to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and had the following children: David J. PAYNE b.20 Nov 1893, Roy S. PAYNE b. 20 Feb 1896, Griffiths John PAYNE b. 10 May 1899, and Winifred Margaret PAYNE b. 1904. Winifred Margaret Payne was my husband's grandmother.
Any information regarding related JONES or GRIFFITHS or PAYNE in UK or USA will be more than appreciated.

| Trying to find Cecelia (various spellings?) Jane JONES origins and marriage after her husband William D. GRIFFITH died in 1842. Wm. died "four months" after the birth of their son John GRIFFITH on 8 Nov 1841. Cecelia took her son to her father in PA for him to raise before remarrying. 1850 Census shows John GRIFFITH aged 9 living in Luzerne,PA and have him from there but wish to know what happened to his mother Cecelia. Cecelia's siblings were David L JONES (b.ca. 1813 Wales blinded from mining accident probably in PA), Henry JONES (b. 1820 Wales miner married Martha b.ca. 1828), and Thomas (b.1826 Wales miner). | My G-G-G-G-G-G-Grandfather Charles Hughes was born in Denbigshire, Wales abt. 1665. He traveled to America on the Ship VINE and arrived 17 July 1684 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. If you know of him or his Family in Whales please let me know. Thank you. |

Looking for more on two Thomas DAVIES born c1790.
One had son William born Talley Carmarthen in 1819 and the other Thomas had a daughter Jane born 1821 in Talley. William and Jane married in 1842 in Merthyr Tidfil Glamorgan Wales and lived in Dowlais where my g grandfather Evan was born in 1850. |

My grandmother's father was Robert Ridge born 1831
in at Llanwnog, Montgomeryshire. Would be interested to find out if there are Ridge descendants still in the area who would like to make contact. He lived near Shrewsbury in 1871. Maureen |
