Hi, one of my Casey relatives volunteered for the International Brigade in Glasgow 1936, he lived at 106 Parliamentary rd, Glasgow, another volunteer giving the same address was F. Rush, this man was wounded at Jarama, Francis Casey and F.Rush were repatriated on the SS.Springwear,
arriving back in Glasgow May/June 1937, i was told recently some of Francis Casey's relatives still live in Glasgow, i would love to be in touch with them, and also like to ask if any photos of Francis have survived the passage of time, my connection to Francis is his father aslo called Francis Casey was one of the younger brothers of my g g grandad James Casey, both born in Co Monaghan, Ireland, to parents Bernard and Elizabeth McDade Casey, looking forward to hearing from any one who can help, all the best Derek. d.casey31@ntlworld.com |

Hi my grandad Robert Casey served in the Kings Own Scotish Borderes 1912-18, Pte 6371, he was born in England, in the town i was born Stockton on Tees Co Durham, 2 years whilst researching my grandads war records i found another Robert Casey serving at the same time in the K.O.S.B, this Robert Casey lived at 133 Drygate st, Glasgow, i believe this Robert Casey to be a relative, my reasons are my g g g grandparents Bernard Casey & Elizabeth McDade Casey left Ireland during the 1840s with all of thier 10 children all born Co Monaghan, Ireland and settled in Glasgow, thier was also a Francis Casey living in Parliamentary rd Glasgow who i know to be a relative, i would love to be in touch with any Casey around connected to iether men mentioned, and any Casey who thinks they may be a relative, also any Comaskey/McDade/O'Brien who are deeply connected to my Casey family, all the best Derek. d.casey31@ntlworld.com |

I am looking for the birth records of John Hannigan b.1878 in Glasgow. Along with his two brothers Thomas b.1879, George b. 1885, and sister Bridget b. 1881, all born in Glasgow. Their parents John (b.1850), and Marjory (b.1851) were both from Ireland, but married in Scotland in 1890. I have searched scotlands people with no luck. They all appear on Scottish Census records as far back as 1881. I really would love to try and put this piece of the puzzle together, and perhaps finally find out exactly where in Ireland my ancestors are from. |
