I am looking for a john Baird bn. abt. 1595 in South west Scotland and went to the plantation of Ulster in Strabane county Tyrone Ireland about 1615. He was a Smithy as was his father James who had a son John who married Rebecca Knox. They had sons Robert, John, William and Thomas who came to America with their parents and settled in Christiana Hundred,abt. 1720 Delaware,Then Chester Co. Pa. then to Cumberland
county Pennsylvania by 1749. |

| Hugh Campbell emigrated to Amer in 1840. He settled and married Margaret Daugherty (Nova Scotia, Canada) in 1848 at Jackson Co.,Iowa,USA, where he lived out his life and died. He was born in Scotland. Any info would be much appreciated |

Recently discovered via my fathers birth certificate that my Paternal Grandmother was called Jeanie Miller.
My fathers place of birth was Eaglesham, Renfrew,Scotland,
Jeanie Miller married my Paternal Grandfather - Robert Stewart( retired postman ) 27th April 1903 in Glasgow, Scotland.
I have no idea when or where Jeanie Miller was born, who her parents were or if she had any siblings.
Where do I start ?

Dead end search regarding my Grandfather, DAVID Watson MILNE - born around 1885 - 1887 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
My brother recently told me that our Grandfather was a " foundling ".
On my Grandfathers death certificate it names his mother as Mary Milne but no name for a father.
Anyone any ideas of where to start with this one ? |
