I am looking for any records for a Mary Bell, born abt. 1890 or before. My husband remembers her as having a very Scotish accent. She married Arthur Phillip Clark and they had 4 boys. The last son may have been born in Canada. Apparently, Arthur Clark was a minister and wrote a hymn that is in the Church of England hymn book even today.
The boys names were Frank Phillip, Arthur, Richard (Dick) and Donald Edward. My husband believes their father did not come to Canada with them so I'm guessig Arthur Phillip, the dad, died before then. Donald Edward was born in Canada but, we believe the rest of the boys were born in either Scotland or England. Frank Phillip Clark was born on Sept. 17, 1911.
I would appreciate any help. I'll try to help at this end if I can in B.C. Canada. |

Hi,
Do Hadrian Road or Park Road, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear mean anything to you?
I am looking for anyone who knew my Mother, Margaret Walker, born 1933 left Wallsend in 1950 to join the WRAF, she lived on both roads, her mother was also called Margaret Walker, born 1905.
Mother and daughter (both Margaret) lived with Jacob Walker and his wife Elizabeth (nee Aitchison, from Morpeth),Margaret Snrs parents. I believe Margaret (Snr) continued to live with them after mum joined up.
Also trying to look further back but with much less luck, Jacobs father was William Walker, born 1844 in Glasgow, I am not really sure when he moved to Wallsend but he was married in Glasgow, then widowed, then moved and married Margaret Robinson (I think!), Jacob and his brothers and sisters were all born in Wallsend.
If anyone does remember mum, or has any info at all, however little, it would make a terrific bump start to my tree which has been suffering badly from 'brick wall syndrome'.
Thank you for reading this - I hope someone can help!
Regards
Wendy
