Like everyone else on the message board site I am looking to find out further information regarding my Scottish lineage.
I am looking for information regarding Donald Fraser (f) Humphrey (m) Mary Walls b Inverary Argyllshire 10/6/1831.
This is as far as I have gotten. We have a photograph of Donald Fraser and the Australian War Memorial has indicated that he was commissioned in the Duke of Endinburghs Highlander Volunteer rifle coprs 4/12/1873.
Donald married Margaret Jane Armstrong in Rockhampton QLD 22/7/1863 and 6 out of the eight children were born in Australia between 1870 and 1880. The dates don't quite gell unless he went back to Scotland after the marriage and joined up.
We can locate a record of him arriving London to Brisbane in 1883 aboard the Scottish Hero but unfortunately nothing prior to that.
Did he have any siblings? Does anyone have any information on the Rifle Corps or can point me in the right direction.

Hi! I am looking for family in Scotland. My grandfather, John Brown, was born in January 1881 in Scotland. He moved to Canada in 1906, where he married my grandmother, Rosa Muriel Mary Neale, who was from London, England. My father, George Brown, was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, February 6, 1908. He had two siblings (Neale and Rosa Mary) who were also born in Canada. My name is Mary Brown Walker; I am one of eight siblings. My father visited family in Scotland during World War II. I am very anxious to know about my grandfather's family. |

| I am searching for info on my gggrandmother SARAH MC CULLOUGH. She was born in 1819 probably in the Glasgow area; married to Graham McDonald. They emmigrated to Canada in 1853. I would appreciate any further dates/places. |
