I am resarching the Gordon family from Dundee, Scotland. I am looking for information about my G.G.G. Grandfather James Gordon who was married to Betsy Carnegie. They had a son John Gordon dob c1813 who died at St. Roques Lane Dundee on 27/11/1889.

John married Catherine Watson on 23/5/1834 in Dundee and they had 5 children called Jean, Isabell, Elizabeth, John and Catherine.

I am really stuck on this one so ant help no matter how little would be most appreciated.

Regards
Linda

Hello, can anybody help me, I am looking for a man named William Burns and was born between 1927 and 1928. William Burns was married in St Helens, Merseyside in 1946, his fathers name was James and his mothers name was Jean. We cannot find any trace of them in St Helens, the last known address for him was Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in 1952. Anybody with any information please send me an E-mail as I have been trying for years.

Thank you,
John

I am trying to find any information on a James Henderson likely from northern Scotland - possibly Aberdeenshire. He would have left Scotland mid nineteenth century and most likely travelled to New York or Pennsylvania. There are rumors that he had stolen his father's horse and sold it for passage to America, which I believe is only a story. He fought for the Northern Army against a brother who fought for the Southern Army in the American Civil War. They are buried next to each other at the foot of a hill in North Carolina, although the exact location has been lost to those of us trying to find it in the last 20 years. Supposedly he had red hair and quite a temper. I would appreciate any possible leads. Thanks for the help. Kelsey
