Hi there
I'am looking for information on a Samuel Copeland b. 1770-1780, Dumfries.
He married a Catherine O'Brien, also from Scotland.

Samuel and his cousin Nathaniel Copeland (b. 1770) were brought over to Nova Scotia by two other cousins Thomas and Alexander.

All were native of Castle Douglas, in the county of Dumfries.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Warmest regards
Sandra Patterson

Am looking for any surviving descendants of a George Copland (born 1836 in Aberdeenshire). I have a document, dated 1877, relating to the award of a medal for army service during the Indian Mutiny. Would like to pass this on to genuine descendant of the family (proof of relationship required) Any interested party please get in touch.

Does anybody out there live in Portsoy, Scotland. I am interested in obtaining inscriptions from a grave in the Portsoy churchyard. It is the grave of my great grandparents, Alexander and Margaret Gauld. Margaret died in 1954 and Alexander died in 1931.I would be interested in receiving information on others that may be buried in the same plot. Many thanks.
