| Am trying to locate a David Andrew Laing name giving at Birth reason for trying is his real mother has passed away recently & i being his Half sister would dearly like to make contact D/O/B 17 January 1962 at Glasgow in the county of Lanark Mothers name at time of adoption was Jennifer Urquhart Laing place of residence was innes Street,Inverness Scotland.David was 6 Months old at time of adoption.His entry number was 186 & made on the 31 day of jan 1962 district of Milton, Burgh of Glasgow, in the county of Lanark.The appointed childrens officers name was Mr William Y. Mcneil for the county of Renfrew.Citation was made Glasgow, 24th August, 1962 at 4.00pm. Enrolled Law agent was Kenneth J Cameson. 55 West Regent Street Glasgow, C.2. Agent for the petitioners. I'm searching for my birth Mother:
Joan Logan.
Born: 14th Jan 1961.
Brown eyes.
Roughly 5ft in height.
From what I have been told Joan has red hair and was raised in the Partick area of Glasgow, Scotland with her 4 sisters and 4 brothers. She was married to someone called Bobby (name may be wrong) but, later divorced.
Joan also had a son called Mark Logan who was placed up for adoption too. I would like to find Mark also, he will be roughly 23 years old, maybe a little older or younger. I'm sure that Joan later gave birth to a daughter but, I'm unsure of her name.
I was adopted by the McGowan family of Darnley Glasgow but, I now live in the U.S.A.
My date of birth is: 17-09-1981.
My name before being adopted was Josephine Amanda Logan. |

hi there i am still looking for my son JOHN CONNELLY MCKENZIE (birth name ) who was born ON the 6th january 1977 at NINEWELLS HOSPITAL .My son left me in october sometime in 1982 as i was so ill i cannot say when exactly he left,he was handed over to social services as i was too ill to look after him .
I went back to get my son out of school after a few weeks and the social services came and took him out of my house saying i had no rights to him away back then .
I went back to social sevices 5years agao to try and find out where they put my son ,well aparently john was adopted out on the 17TH OCTOBER 1984,they had him in care for 2yrs .
My sone was five when he left me and he was 7 when he was adopted so i imagine his first name is the same ??? i dont know ,also i was told that john went to a couple who were teachers so if any one knows of john or his where about could u please get in touch i would be most gratfull as my son is now 30yrs of age .

I am looking for any information on John Mackenzie b 1867-68
On 1891 census he lists his parents as John & Sarah Mackenzie (Stewart) both deceased. Gives his birth place as Granton Edinburghshire. I have been unable to find anything for him under these parents. He never spoke of his family to his children. I located his birth certificate & was thrown for a loop as his mother is given as Sarah Cairns.
Does this tie in with anyone out there. |

Flt/Lt JIm Forrest,recent letters not answered,and knowing Jim has health problems,I fear the worst.we are both in our late 80's,so any news would be appreciated.

Micheal Murphy-(30/12/39)-went to New Jersey and married Barbara
Jim Murphy -(07/06/41) - went to New Jersey and married Maureen from Co. Monaghan.
Mary Murphy - (06/02/43) - Went to New Jersey and married Conor Tully.
Kitty Murphy - (05/10/44) - married Dermot Guihan and now live in Cork.
Sheila Murphy - (07/12/45) - Married Gerard (Jerry) Langan (R.I.P.) and live in Co. Galway.
Jackie Murphy - (14/05/48) - Married Nuala O'Neill, Castletownbere in London. Returned to live in Castletownbere & bought Naula's gran aunt Sheila O Donnavons shop.
Donnie Murphy - (04/04/50) - Lives at the home farm (Ardgroom) and married Sheila Dennehey from Allihies.
Noreen Murphy - (14/06/52) - Works in a wholesalers in Cork and lives there.
Ted Murphy - (25/01/54) Worked in Cork and then went to America.
Florence (Florry) Murphy - (15/06/56) Married Carol Murphy Casletownbere (seperated) and now lives locally to Castletownbere.
Noel Murphy - (20/12/57) Lives in Ballincollig, near Cork and married Stephanie Murphy (a sister of Florrys wife Carol)
Gerard Murphy (08/10/59) - Went to America.
Martin Murphy (03/11/61) - Went to America and is getting married towards the end of April this year.

| Isabel Rose Middleton was born 1st August 1911 at 6 Castle Terrace, Aberdeen (District of St. Nicholas) and was adopted or fostered as a newborn. I am Isabel's niece and would very much like to connect with her family as we feel we are missing a part of our family. Isabel still has two half-sisters living. What a great reunion that would be! |
