Hi there,
I trying to trace my birth father, a William M(a)cPherson, possibly born c 1920, who worked in the Shetlands in the mid fifties for a company called Holland, Hanned & Cubitts, possibly as a clerk of works. Could have then moved to Largs in Ayshire to work at Hunterston power station. He and my birth mother seperated and I was adopted. I realise that he may not be alive, but if any of his family read this, please get in touch and let me know about him and his family. Many thanks, Willie. |

I don't know much about my adoption and perhaps have left things a little too late but thought i would see if anyone out there can help me fill in some blanks.
I was born in Glasgow on 26th May 1966 and adopted in Glasgow a few weeks after my birth.

| I am looking for my husbands biological parents. He was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in April 1964 and was adopted by John and Shirley Ruffley when he was a few months old. He was born in Fort Victoria (now Msvingo). Only information I have is that my husband (Mark) is of Scottish desent and was conceived out of wedlock. |

| I am looking for a Patricia Victoria Urquhart (formerly Main), who was in Aberdeen around 1947, She gave birth to a daughter on 20th March 1947 in Aberdeen and named her Caroline Ann Urquhart. She gave her up for adoption in September 1947 in Aberdeen. She gave her address as 42 Upper Kessock Street, Inverness. Can anyone help.??? I believe Patricia was originally from Inverness and she put her occupation down as a booksellers Shop assistant. She would probably have been early 20's. |
